2026 CC7D KEY DATES

• June 17, 2026 - CC7D Cast & Crew Call at House of Rock (6:00 PM)

• July 8, 2026 - CC7D Kick-Off at House of Rock (6:00 PM)

• July 15, 2026 - CC7D Turn-In at House of Rock (6:00 PM)

• September 6, 2026 - CC7D Screening 

• September 6, 2026 - CC7D Awards Ceremony at House of Rock (TBD)

HOW TO PLAY

CC7D Filming Week is July 8-15.  Filmmakers have 7 days to write, shoot, and edit an original short film using required elements revealed at the Kick-Off.  To play, you must

• Read the 2026 CC7D Rules (updated soon!)

• Register in person at the Kick-Off event

• Pay the $60 entry fee

• Sign the CC7D Participant Agreement

• Turn in your film by the official deadline on July 15 (announced at the Kick-Off event)

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
All ages are welcome to participate.  If you're under 18, bring a signed Participant Agreement to the Kick-Off.   Filmmaker documents are posted under filmmakers documents here.  

No experience necessary.   CC7D welcomes all skill levels and backgrounds.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE KICK-OFF

• Team Leader registers the team and receive a packet with required filmmaker documents

• After the all teams have signed up, the CC7D Steering Committee will review rules

• Essential Elements packets are handed out

• The official deadline time is announced by CC7D Steering Committee

  

TIPS AND RULES

• ​Don't miss the deadline.  Late films will not be accepted.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

• ​Grand Jury Awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Place)

• Audience Award, Filmmaker Award, Young Filmmaker Award​

• Best Director, Best Cinematography

• Best Screenplay (if submitted)

• Best Original Score, Best Original Song

• Best Acting (Lead and Supporting) and Best Ensemble Award

• Best Use of Required Elements

• The Influencer Award (sharing is caring on social media!)

SCREENING AND JURY PROCESS

• Films submitted by the deadline are reviewed by the CC7D Steering Committee and qualified based on the rules

• ​Top films are selected by a local Screening Committee and sent to a professional industry Jury to determine final awards

SCREENING DAY AND AWARDS CEREMONY

The 2026 CC7D Screening will take place on September 6.   The Awards Ceremony will follow at House of Rock.  Exact times are determined based on the number of films submitted.
