The Corpus Christi 7 Day Film Project is an annual filmmaking competition and screening founded in 2007. It celebrates local filmmakers—both veterans and first-timers—while growing the region’s creative economy and building real-world experience for actors and crew.
Filmmaking teams have just seven days to create a short film from start to finish. Every entry must include four required elements: a line of dialogue, a character, a prop, and one surprise element; all elements are revealed at the Kick-Off event. Only completed films that follow all rules screen at the official premiere on September 6, 2026.

CC7D Film Turn-In is the moment teams return from a week of creative chaos to deliver their completed films in time for the deadline. And celebrate what they've accomplished! Whether your team created a masterpiece, a beautiful disaster, or something in between, making a film in seven days is an achievement worth celebrating.
Join filmmakers, cast, crew, friends, and supporters as teams officially submit their films before the deadline and gather for an evening of stories, laughs, war stories, and shared accomplishment.
Because before the films ever reach the screen, there's a community behind them.

This is more than a film screening. It's a celebration of the people behind the films—the writers, actors, crew members, musicians, editors, volunteers, and supporters who prove year after year that great stories are created by people in the community.
What emerges is a collection of films that are surprising, funny, moving, inventive, and uniquely representative of the creative spirit of the Coastal Bend.
Come celebrate local creativity, cheer on your favorite teams, and experience a night of original films made right here in the Coastal Bend.
Because every film has a story. And every story has people behind it.
